On 17 February 2025, a CRJ-900 aircraftMHI RJ Aviation Group currently holds the type certificate for this aircraft. operated by Delta Endeavor Air, was conducting a flight from Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport, Minnesota, to Toronto/Lester B. Pearson International Airport (CYYZ), Ontario.

The occurrence

On 08 September 2024, a Cessna U206F aircraft operated by KBM Forestry Consultants Inc. was conducting an aerial power line inspection flight southeast of Lloydminster Airport, Alberta, with 2 crew on board.

While turning at a low altitude, the aircraft descended and collided with terrain. The aircraft was destroyed. Both occupants were fatally injured.
