Investigation report: July 2018 collision with wires near Okotoks, Alberta

Edmonton, Alberta, 14 December 2018 – Today, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) released its investigation report (A18W0098) on the July 2018 collision with wires of a privately operated amateur-built Mosquito XE helicopter that occurred in Okotoks, Alberta. The aircraft was destroyed, and the pilot was fatally injured.
The TSB conducted a limited-scope, fact-gathering investigation into this occurrence to advance transportation safety through greater awareness of potential safety issues.
